Visa Fees Visa application fees are payable in cash for each applicant. The visa application centre will not charge you a service fee for taking your application or for providing guidance on documentation. This is included in the relevant visa fee. No charges other than the visa application fee and the courier charges (if applicable) are payable. If anyone should ask you for any money other than the visa fee or the courier charge please report them immediately to the VFS visa application centre manager, or the visa officer at the UK Border Agency at the British High Commission. Please ensure you obtain an official receipt for all payments made. Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant. All dependants who are travelling must pay the fee whether or not they are included in the main applicant's passport. Fees are payable in cash and in Singapore Dollars only and are subject to periodic review. Refunds The visa application fee reflects the administrative costs of processing an application and is not refundable if your application is refused. The visa application fee is only refundable if your visa application is withdrawn before you have submitted your biometrics. If you have paid for a long-term visit visa fee but the UK Border Agency visa officer decides to issue a visa that is valid for a shorter period, the difference in fee will not be refunded. These fees are effective for all visa applications made from 3 March 2010.
